Factory alignment specs assume factory geometry. After a lift, the right targets shift — and the printout the dealer hands you isn't always set up for that.
Specs that change after a lift
- Caster — drops with most lifts; needs UCAs or bushings to restore
- Camber — IFS platforms shift negative, often need UCAs
- Toe — should be set with tire size and steering feel in mind
A lifted truck with factory caster targets often feels wandery on the highway. We bias caster on the high side of spec on most lifted IFS platforms.
Beyond the rack
Death-wobble inspections, steering box and damper checks, control-arm bushing inspections, and track bar tightness are all part of a real post-lift roadworthiness pass.
